Not sure if anyone wants to do a write up for the OJ on Xamaclan, but I have been dabling with it. I have referenced in a few posts the notion that there are nazca lines there. Also, there are concepts in the rough draft timeline I have kicking around in a forum.

But on the former idea, here is something I wanted to share. This is an aerial photo from an intersection not too far from where I live in Las Vegas. I have been tossing around different ideas for construction of the "lines." IIRC, Nazca are done in rocks and very thin and shallow trenches. There are some berms doing similar things in America and chalk outlines in England. These are gravel. You can get an idea of their size from the car at the center of the far left. The snake measures in a straight line from tip to tip 235 feet.

I think they are cool. When you drive by, you can pretty much make out what they are with just a little difficulty.

Yes, and that is the crux of it. That is the mystery. I'll make no bones about he fact that I like the idea of them being used to contact they gods in flying spaceships, or other in the same. However, others do not like that, and I don't think that should be the only option. Of course, they should also be related to adventure locations.

Connecting them to the Suel and Hepmonaland history, laying good teasers without being too limiting could be tricky, but there is fun part, IMO.

Of couse they would have to be related to ancient forgotten history. Some could have current misdirected applications. Lots of ways of thinking aobut it.

That still leaves plenty with further description. What are they made of, what are their shapes, how many, how big, the local land etc, etc. ....

If only Mulder and Scully were on Oerth...

This could be a very interesting chapter in the expansion of Grey-lore. I'm anxious to see what you can do with it.

I was not much a fan of the show, but I have a dozen pages of an adventure set in a fantasy-old west- sci-fi Las Vegas the prologue for which included NPCs based on them. It has been a while, but IIRC they were Builder and Sullen, Navajo trackers.

Maybe I can do something with that ...
