Don't know if this is heretical or not, but what would be the stats of this oft-misunderstood hero? I know he destroys Tokyo with some regularity, and for unknown reasons, but that's no reason to hunt him down like a Pholtun pursues a (presumed) demon worshipper!
Just some errant thoughts while here at work.

Hmmm, I'm thinking starting with the statistics for a Tarrasque (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/tarrasque.htm) and change a few things... give it a breath weapon, no horn/gore attack, change the Carpace ability to possibly deflect attacks into something that has a chance to absorb energy based attacks to fuel the breath weapon.

I'm a traditionalist, so let's say 2E. And the late-60's version, the one with all the dubbed voice overlay and cheesy man-dressed-as-a-monster costumes.

Didn't one of the 2e monster supplements have a "titanic creature" or something like that for just such an occasion? I can't recall the exact creature, but I think it was made for Kara-Tur.

Yeah, the Gargantua, from the Kara-Tur monstrous compendium. It included pastiches of Godzilla, Mothra, and King Kong (as reptilian, insectoid, and humanoid gargantua).
It was reprinted in the Monstrous Manual.

That'd be interesting to check out. I wonder how it compares with the ape from the Isle of the Ape.
