This topic has been percolating in my brain ever since Jay's Virtual Greyhawk Con grand finale with the experts. The bit about aspects of Greyhawk people really didn't like, and would even remake if they had the chance.
Its clear if Greyhawk continues to be left by the wayside, it'll be up to the community to come up with new content, and if we're doing that.. Why not revisit some of the unsatisfying modules or concepts?
I know Jay is already reworking Doomgrinder in his game, so that is already an excellent start. What else could the community rework? What already exists out there in the home brews?
Valley of the Mage is another high profile case I think. Most people seem to agree it had a lot of potential, but the final execution was.... Eh. From what I've read of it, I would tend to agree. I would really love to do something cool with the Valley in my campaign, but I'm not sure what.. Yet.
But I was hoping this could spur some discussions on the topic, maybe there are a host of ideas out there, and why reinvent the wheel when we have a resource like this?
