Post Your Tattoos: Gamers with Ink

I got this one, over the weekend:

Last year I began my Birthday Ink tradition by getting a tattoo of a weedy seadragon, a symbol of fatherhood to me as it is the papa seahorse that carries the young:

This year's skin illustration was inspired by the tale of Aurora the Octopus

Aeolius, at this rate you will become a high-ranking yakuza! Although I don't sport any "ink," I do appreciate it and have seen my fair share of interesting tatoos (mainly my high school students). However, my good friend, also a gamer, has a metal gauntlet holding a lightning bolt on his shoulder. It is supposed to reflect his personal leanings towards the Heironean code.

If I were ever to get a tatoo, likely it would be a griffon. A dragon would be neat, but likely too common (not that a griffon is all that uncommon, mind you). A Rune of Pursuit would be artistic, as per my Avatar and leanings towards Trithereon's code, but it looks too much like a swastika...and that is NOT the mark I wish to endorse! Shocked

thanks for sharing,

Lanthorn

Those do look pretty cool, Aeolius. Smile

Tatoos aren't for me, personally, but I appreciate quality artwork that holds special meaning for the person it's on.

Nice ink Aeolius.

I like the symbolism of the seahorse.

I'm pretty covered with tattoos myself ... I've always wanted a Greyhawk related one but as of yet I just haven't been able to decide on something suitable and meaningful enough for me!

Haha Lanthorn. I got many tats in my younger days, and hey Wolfling three different wolves across my chest (the middle one kinda looks like your avatar)! Sadly no mauses though. I too think a greyhawk inspired tat would be sweet, but have never been able to decide what. A good tat needs to be self designed and much considered in my opinion. If i figure out how to get a picture on here i'll post one for ya. (probably have to enlist my sons to help me with that).
