I've been following a Kickstarter for easy-to-use cartography software called Other World Mapper. Anna Meyer really likes it. She has written about it on her blog and has signed up as an Alpha Tester. But the fact that Anna Meyer likes it makes it very interesting. I don't know if she would be able to port some of her Greyhawk maps over to Other World Mapper format, but if that was possible, maybe we could all make Greyhawk maps that were almost as cool as her maps.
They have gone through six stretch goals and are just $706 USD away from funding a Mac OS and Linux version. (There are discussions going on at The Piazza, Dragonsfoot, Cartographers' Guild and EN World).
It is a very promising tool, I really hope they make it to Linux and Mac!
They got $25,000 so the Mac OS/Linux version is going ahead. There are only a few hours left for people to jump onboard. _________________ David 'Big Mac' Shepheard
My Greyhawk links: http://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9355
(If I am not here, you can find me at the Greyhawk or Chainmail forums at The Piazza.)
